Rhonda Nichols

Owner and Chief EnergyOfficer

Studio Soar is Rhonda's brainchild.  After many years in Human Resources for high tech corporations, Rhonda began feeling unfulfilled with the corporate grind and began exploring how to create her own oasis for peace, not only for herself but for others as well.   Reducing the chaos in her life with regular yoga practice and the exploration in aerial yoga,  Rhonda realized the need for fun, empowering, energizing excercise options and wanted to share those options with others.  This began the process to create Studio Soar.  Rhonda holds an Aerial Yoga certification through CircuSoul.  Rhonda holds a BS in Retail Management and an MS in Industrial Technology, both from Purdue University.   She is a mother of two children, Kadian (18) and Mataya (10), and two pets, Sapphire (Australian Shepard mix) and Willow (Siamese and Tiger Cat mix).  She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and continuously learning.

Ashley Burkhalter

Aerial Yoga Instructor

Ashley completed Ivy Tech’s Nursing Program in 2010 and works at Rosewalk Village as a registered nurse. After completing college, she had some extra free time. Ashley joined a gym with her boyfriend and enjoyed to weight train. Within the past year, Ashley realized she loved and had a passion for fitness. She began exploring new exercises and routines. The opportunity at Studio Soar was offered and she grabbed a hold of it. “Aerial yoga is a great way to clear the mind and to let go of the stress to the body. At times you feel like a kid again: swinging, flying, and going upside down.” With having a fast-paced and stressful job, Ashley is excited to incorporate aerial yoga into her life and to become a certified instructor.

Jamie Davidson

Pole Fitness Instructor

Jamie is a mother of 3.  Her experience with pole dancing came from working as an exotic dancer in her early 20's although the self-destrctive life style and bar scene eventually took a toll.  After leaving this lifestyle Jamie really began to miss the physical work out and creative outlet that pole dancing provided. Jamie dreamed of opening a studio to share pole dance fitness and empowerment with others in a safe environment.  Studio Soar  allows Jamie to do just that and she looks forward to helping others learn about this amazing workout routine, creative outlet, and FUN!!  Jamie's  classes strive to teach others they CAN!  Join her for  a pole fitness class soon!!

Kade Nichols

Aerial Yoga Instructor

Kade has always been physically active whether spending the day on the trampoline, in the pool or on the football field.  He was introduced to Yoga by his mom and was offered the opportunity to participate in the Aerial Yoga Instructors training as part of Studio Soar's team.   Through the training, he developed a love for "flying" and inversions and is honing his teaching skills.  He is an avid gamer, enjoys music, movies and hanging out with friends.

Kaitlyn

Marcia Croft

Aerial Yoga Instructor

Marcia hails from Seattle and first started practicing yoga in 2007. It was love at first practice, but it wasn't until Studio Soar that Marcia got the opportunity to try aerial yoga. Some of Marcia's favorite things about aerial yoga include the deepened stretches, the variety of inversions, and, of course, flying! Between working on a farm and running, she has always felt that practicing yoga has been a great way to center and rejuvenate and Marcia is excited to share this with others. When not upside down in a hammock, Marcia enjoys cooking, growing food, playing music, and traveling.
